EPS came in at $0.65. The 14 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.75 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.33 for Q1 were 38% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.53 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 70.7%, 350 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 14.7%, 820 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.7%, 830 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $554.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.89.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $2.26 billion. The average EPS estimate is $3.49.
