CastleVille No Place Like Throne Quests: Everything you need to know

As you start to work on Hazel's Heartbreak Quests in CastleVille, you'll suddenly receive a new set of five quests from Alistair, who is interested in learning more about why exactly Hazel and Faugrimm are going through a rough patch in their relationship (drama, I love it). This quest series may be relatively short, but it comes packed with tasks like exploring into the gloom and building items in your Kingdom. We're here with a guide to help you sort through these quests, so let's get started!

Hath No Fury

  • Tend 10 Sheep

  • Collect 3 Sugar Cubes

  • Explore the Gloom


The Sugar Cubes are collected via a general news item posted on your wall. You'll receive 2,500 coins, 50 XP and three pieces of Ice Fencing for completing this first quest.

Cold As Ice

  • Prepare the Fire Spirit Spell

  • Melt 5 Ice Brambles

  • Remove the First Layer of Ice from the Frozen Throne


As you expand into the gloom, you'll discover Faugrimm's Frozen Throne, which requires items to "complete" as though you were building something from scratch. You'll need Ice Picks, Iron Bars, Ice Scrapers and Fire Essence to "defrost" the Throne. You'll earn 3,250 coins, 65 XP and a Magic Ice Crucible for finishing this second quest.

A Brambling Man

  • Melt 8 Ice Brambles

  • Remove the Second Layer of Ice

  • Explore the Gloom


Rewards: 3,250 coins, 65 XP, Hazel Crown, Ice Crown (for your avatar)

Above the Thaw

  • Have 3 Rubies

  • Have 12 Fire Essence

  • Remove the Final Layer of Ice


By the time you reach this final layer of ice on the Throne, you'll need to have a Master Ice Pick, six Mortar, seven Conjuring Quills and 12 fire Essences, so these quests aren't exactly what I'd call "speedy," in terms of how long it will take you to finish them. When you do completing this quest, you'll earn 3,250 coins and 65 XP.

To Each Their Throne

  • Cast Frostmite 1 Time

  • Craft 3 Horseshoes

  • Cast the Unicorn's Gift Spell 2 Times


The Unicorn's Gift spell summons a Unicorn Spirit that will bring you "luck" in your Kingdom. You'll need to prepare other spells and collect general ingredients to even cast a single Unicorn's Gift Spell, so this quest will also be fairly time consuming, all things considered. When you complete this final quest in the series, you'll earn 3,250 coins and 65 XP.

As Faugrimm and Hazel are recurring characters in our Kingdoms, I wouldn't be surprised if they came back around yet again in future events to offer more cold, icy quests for us to complete in the game. We'll make sure to let you know as soon as that happens, so stay tuned!
