The 3 Winners of Mobile Commerce

Updated

Consumer goods analyst Austin Smith discusses why he thinks eBay, Amazon, and Google will emerge as winners in mobile commerce. Next year, PayPal, a division of eBay, will handle $10 billion in transactions, putting it up next to large financial institutions. All three companies benefit from booming mobile sales, as mobile customers are three times more valuable than desktop customers. Amazon recently saw mobile sales top $1 billion, and it will continue to expand into the tablet and eventually phone market. Google's advantage comes from its powerful mobile analytics and extensive data collection on shoppers. Look for all three companies to emerge victorious.
