World Fuel Services Misses on Revenues but Beats on EPS

EPS came in at $0.74. The seven earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.68 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.68 for Q2 were 2.9% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.70 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 1.8%, 10 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 0.8%, about the same as the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 0.5%, 10 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $10.64 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.76.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $40.95 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.86.
