Quantum Hits Estimates in Solid Quarter
Quantum (NYS: QTM) reported earnings yesterday. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at -$0.04. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast -$0.04 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.07 for Q1 versus -$0.02 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 39.6%, 140 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -10.5%, 910 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -12.4%, 900 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $151.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.03.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $613.9 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.06.
The stock has a two-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 163 members rating the stock outperform and 23 members rating it underperform.
