Katy Perry may have enjoyed it when she kissed a girl, but she didn't like her Tribeca penthouse. At least that's what we would assume, since she sold the place less than two years after moving in. And lost $40,000 in the process.

Perry purchased the two-story apartment just before marrying her now ex-husband Russell Brand in 2010 for $2.68 million. After their split, she listed it for $2.75 million, reaching a final selling price of $2.62 million. The humble abode is about 1,500 square feet, and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. According to the floor plan, there is a 250-plus-square-foot outdoor terrace, perfect for lounging and enjoying views of downtown Manhattan.

The New York Post reported that the couple wanted the relatively small place, which they called their "crash pad," to minimize New York income taxes. Living in two stories with a private outdoor terrace in Tribeca doesn't sound too bad to us!
