United Technologies Beats Analyst Estimates on EPS

EPS came in at $1.58. The 17 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $1.42 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.47 for Q2 were 1.4% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.45 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 28.1%, 40 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 15.8%, 190 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 9.6%, 90 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $16.64 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.36.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $60.71 billion. The average EPS estimate is $5.50.
