Kennametal Increases Sales but Misses Revenue Estimate

EPS came in at $1.08. The 14 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $1.04 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.06 for Q4 were 1.9% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.04 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 35.8%, 270 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 15.9%, 160 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 11.6%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $718.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.96.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $3.04 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.27.
