EPS came in at $1.25. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $1.19 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.11 for Q2 were 34% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.83 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.15 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 33.0%, 20 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 13.1%, 30 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 6.9%, 80 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
