Range Resources (NYS: RRC) reported earnings on July 24. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.11. The 32 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.08 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.34 for Q2 were 6.3% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.32 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.03 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 81.4%, 460 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 31.9%, 1,940 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 12.5%, 750 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $358.9 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.19.
