NXP Semiconductors (NAS: NXPI) reported earnings on July 24. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.45. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.40 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.36 for Q2 against $0.33 per share for the prior-year quarter.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 49.2%, 170 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 13.8%, 100 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -8.2%, 1,570 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.15 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.56.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $4.37 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.76.
