International Game Technology Increases Sales but Misses Revenue Estimate

EPS came in at $0.23. The 20 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.28 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.16 for Q3 were 43% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.28 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.02 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 56.8%, 220 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 22.8%, 660 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.7%, 910 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $574.0 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.30.
