EPS came in at $0.84. The 19 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.80 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.84 for Q2 were 11% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.94 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.29 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

For the quarter, gross margin was 51.7%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 17.4%, 90 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 13.2%, 430 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $4.51 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.81.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $18.22 billion. The average EPS estimate is $3.25.
The stock has a four-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 518 members out of 541 rating the stock outperform, and 24 members rating it underperform.
