SUPERVALU (NYS: SVU) reported earnings on July 11. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.19. The 16 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.38 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.19 for Q1 were 46% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.35 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 22.0%, 10 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 2.0%, 50 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 0.4%, 30 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
