House of the Day: Dominique Strauss-Kahn's D.C. Digs

Oh, if these walls could talk. Apparently, the Washington, D.C., home that ex-IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Anne Sinclair once shared is not doing too well on the market. They've just slashed its asking price from $5.2 million to $3.8 million.

But don't whip out your checkbooks yet: According to our friends at Curbed, you can expect the newly-reduced price to slip even lower in the future to "something in the $3.5 million range." It's a fair ask, we think, for a very pretty 7,200-square-foot Federal-style home that's been through a head-to-toe renovation.

The home boasts a huge pool and spacious patio area, a state-of-the-art chef's eat-in kitchen and three elegant bedrooms. We're not exactly sure why DSK's selling, but it could have something to do with his recent separation from his wife and his ongoing rape investigation. (Yikes!)
