House of the Day: Go Shopping in Your Own Building

Updated

What if you could go shopping at a high-end clothing store -- in your basement? Well, with this beauty of a loft, technically, you can.

An entire building in the heart of the world famous Collins Avenue Fashion District in Miami Beach, Fla., is up for sale. On the top floor is a chic 5,600-square-foot, three-bedroom loft with a private deck. Space on the ground floor is leased to Levi Strauss & Co., and there are two additional retail/showroom spaces on the second floor. All of this -- all of it -- can be yours for a cool $10 million.

A private elevator in the building takes you past the retail space and up to the two-story loft, which is designed by Alison Spear. The loft features 20-foot ceilings and walls of windows that flood the space with natural light. It also boasts a 2,300-square-foot private rooftop deck with a classy infinity-edge pool and a relaxing cabana bath. The master suite overlooks the living room and pool deck but can be made much more private with the built-in electric shades.

For those not ready to dabble in the world of retail real estate in South Beach, the apartment and pool deck can be purchased separately for $3.3 million.
