CityVille Space Invaders Goal: Everything you need to know

Updated

While we've already taken to the skies in CityVille via the release of the Airport, our next venture will see us traveling much, much farther from home. Space travel is on the agenda this week, as we've been given the opportunity to build a Space Shuttle in anticipation of future events!

This Space Invaders goal and the Space Shuttle itself are a bit hidden, as you won't see this goal simply sitting on the left-hand side of your gameplay screen. Instead, you'll need to look for the picture of the Space Shuttle above the head of one of your town's citizens. From there, you'll be given the opportunity to place the Space Shuttle in your town. First though, let's take a look at this entire "Space Invaders" goal.

Space Invaders

  • Ask friends for 12 Space Helmets

  • Build and Complete the Space Station

  • Collect 20 Rocket Fuel

The Space Station can be built in six stages, starting with the nose of the shuttle. You'll need to ask your friends for just four Shuttle Plans to finish this, but as you continue to go along, unlocking parts of the Space Shuttle, you'll eventually end up collecting 54 different parts to finish it off. You'll also need to collect Rocket Fuel from "Space Shuttle Buildings."

Luckily, there's a new tab within the game's store that sorts these "Space Shuttle" buildings for you, and there are six in all. Three of these cost coins to purchase (the Space Age House, Space Museum and Shuttle Supply Depot), while the other three cost City Cash (the Solar Temple, Astrology House and Space Observatory). The cheapest item is 80,000 coins, meaning that you'll likely invest quite a few coins to quickly gain Rocket Fuel, since this particular building (the Space Age House) only offers rent once every eight hours.

It's unknown just how far this feature will go in terms of exploring the galaxy, or even perhaps setting up bases out in the great galactic expanse, but you can be sure that we'll keep an eye on things and will let you know when you can explore more of the (virtual) galaxy via your CityVille town.

What do you think of this Space Shuttle in CityVille? Would you be excited to build another new town out in space, either in a Space Station or on an actual planet? What sorts of ideas do you think Zynga should take advantage of with this feature? Share your ideas with us in the comments!
