SimCity Social: Celebrate a love of cuisine with Food Frenzy items

It looks like the first series of truly new content has rolled out in SimCity Social, giving players a chance to add a variety of food-themed buildings to their towns. There are five items available to purchase from the game's store, while two other items are earned by completing a series of matching quests.

Here's a look at the items in the store:

• Mexican Restaurant - 3,000 coins

• Burger Joint: - 22,000 coins

• Popcorn Factory (Animated, Low Pollution) - 24 Diamonds

• Chinese Restaurant - Unlock at 29,000 population

• Pizza Truck - 8,000 coins

As for the quests themselves, they're easy to spot, as they're marked with a large red and white time limit that sits at 142 hours, as of this writing. You'll need to collect from the Diner a single time to finish the first quest, but this will not count if a friend has visited your city and collected from the Diner for you. You'll unfortunately then need to wait a few minutes so that you can manually collect from the Diner yourself. For completing this first quest, you'll receive 100 coins, two XP and the Soda Bottling Plant, one of the two items that are available from quests. The other item is the Pizzeria.
