Tiny Tuscan Town Can Be Yours for $3.1 Million

If you've ever thought about investing in Italian real estate (after all, it's going cheap these days!), here's a good opportunity: An 800-year-old hilltop hamlet near Florence, Italy, is up for sale on eBay for $3.1 million.

Of course, Pratariccia is a bit of a fixer-upper. The little town has been abandoned since the 1960s, with 25 rundown houses dotting the landscape. And you may need a weed wacker, as it's become a bit overgrown with brush. (The eBay ad describes the village as being "in need of restoration.")

But look on the bright side: The scenery is gorgeous, with rolling hills, historic villages and a national park nearby.

Real estate reps are hoping that Pratariccia will be used for development -- preferably for a resort or retirement community.

Don't have a taste for Italian? There are towns on the domestic front that you can snag, such as the "Hunger Games" village, known as District 12, in North Carolina, or the tiny village of Pray, Mont. Sorry, but you've already missed your shot at the one-person town of Buford, Wyo.
