EPS came in at $1.20. The 19 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.96 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.13 for Q3 were 25% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.51 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 58.4%, 450 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 21.0%, 720 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 11.9%, 530 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
