Celine Dion Lists Mansion With Helipad at Soaring Price

Updated

Five-time Grammy-winning songstress Celine Dion has just joined a gaggle of music celebrities trying to sell off their multimillion dollar homes this summer. Except, in true music diva fashion, her magnificent stone estate is going for a whopping $29.655 million. Yep. You could buy a small island for around the same price (though the estate, naturally, is on an island of its own, too).

Known as the Gagnon Mansion, and located in Quebec, Canada, the opulent home is built like a French Norman chateau and boasts 24,000 square feet. We're not sure of the exact interior aesthetic they were going for, though it looks like a cross between Versailles and Tara in "Gone With the Wind." And that's not a bad thing, especially if you like chandeliers, winding staircases, plush red velvet carpets and soaring, coffered ceilings.

The home also features a game room, vaulted stone wine cellar with integrated tasting room, paneled library, gym, in-ground pool with pool house, and its very own helipad. Naturally.

The iconic songstress is selling the mansion as "seldom used," apparently due to her demanding concert schedule. Dion and her husband and manager, Rene Angelil, also have a home on Jupiter Island, Fla., that is apparently "more contemporary" in a "Bahamian style."

Dion's property joins other music celebrity homes on the market, including Michael Jackson's California chateau, Beatle George Harrison's Swiss manor, Amy Winehouse's London apartment and Chris Brown's WeHo bachelor pad.

Joseph Montanaro of Sotheby's International Realty, Quebec, has the listing.
