House of the Day: 'Dexter' Star's Home Is To Die For
"Dexter" fans rejoice: You, too, can live -- rather than die -- in the on-screen murderer's home. Well, his real-life home. "Dexter" star Michael C. Hall is selling his stunning home in The Outpost Estates in Los Angeles for a killer price of $1.995 million.
The 3,535-square-foot home features four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The master suite has a spacious master bathroom with views of Runyon Canyon. Both of the upstairs guest bedrooms have their own baths, and the basement gym/guest bedroom (/kill room) has its own ¾ bath.
Built in 1933, the entire property was redesigned by famed architect Hal Levitt, who actually lived there from 1964 to 2004. His extensive remodeling maximized the space's spectacular views. Massive windows surround the living and dining rooms, allowing the home to be flooded with natural light. A sliding glass door opens to the patio, which has its own fire pit and barbecue. The kitchen boasts Italian tile floors and opens to the patio as well, encouraging seamless indoor/outdoor entertaining.
The home sits on a 10,308-square-foot lot, which includes a pool described by the Realtor as "sleek and dexterous." (We're not sure if the pun was intended.)
Jeff Kohl and Josh Myler of The Agency have the listing.
