CityVille Water Greenhouse: Everything you need to know

While Greenhouses have come to serve as a great way to plant and harvest crops in bulk in CityVille, while not taking up a huge amount of space, each Greenhouse is limited in the selection of crops it can actually support. This means that you likely have plenty of Greenhouses taking up room on your land, which almost reintroduces the land space issue that Greenhouses were supposed to fix. Hoping to solve this one and for all, the CityVille team has launched a Water Greenhouse in the game.

Not only is this Water Greenhouse available to place on land, thereby not taking up any land whatsoever, but it can also support the growth of every crop, regardless of type or growth time. Since this Water Greenhouse is so special, it requires 200,000 coins to build, making it an expensive investment. Its base requires eight energy to construct, and from there, you'll need to collect 20 items to finish it off:

  • 4 Air Vents

  • 4 Tropic Heaters

  • 4 Grow Lights

  • 4 Drip Lines

  • 4 Air Blowers


These items are earned through a combination of general news posts on your wall and individual requests sent to friends. Once you collect them all, you'll be able to start growing crops within the Water Greenhouse, and will eventually be able to unlock the building's maximum capacity of 24 building plots. It's worth noting that this Water Greenhouse also has a larger maximum capacity when compared to other Greenhouses, which hold 14 plots at most. Again, this Water Greenhouse may be more expensive, but it also seems to be worth the extra investment in the long run.

Add this new Greenhouse to the ability to store your other Greenhouses in your Warehouse, and I think farming in CityVille just got a bit more productive, wouldn't you agree?
