CityVille Helicopters: Everything you need to know
If you've already grown tired of the idea of airplanes in your CityVille town, you can now take advantage of a new mode of flight: helicopters. These helicopters will allow you to harvest items and collect coins, while also supplying businesses with Goods, but of course, you'll need to build a place for them to land first.
Your Blue Helipad can be placed and built in your town by collecting building materials with the help of friends. You'll need to collect 25 building materials:
5 Mobile Radios
5 Flight Sticks
5 Cargo Hooks
5 Pilot Helmets
5 Ear Protectors
These items are earned via general news posts on your wall or by asking your friends to send them to you via individual gift requests. For the record, this is the first of what looks to be three different helipads that we'll be able to construct in our towns (with red and yellow coming soon).
Once you've completed this first helipad, you can then send helicopters using coins or City Cash. You'll know what sorts of tasks the helicopter will complete by looking at its icon. A Goods Box, for instance, means that the helicopter can be used to tend Businesses. You can also use helicopters for collecting rent and apparently even transporting tourists.
To use a helicopter, just click on the appropriate button within the helipad and then click on a building that highlights, indicating you can interact with it. The helicopter will take off, complete its task and return with your profits automatically. Ultimately, this all seems to be more of a novelty than something that will really save you time, but the helicopters do have some more potential for future use. We'll make sure to let you know what the yellow and red helipads do in the future, so stay tuned!
