Comtech Telecommunications Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.29. The seven earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.24 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.29 for Q3 were 38% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.47 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 41.8%, 170 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 10.6%, 610 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 6.1%, 480 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $111.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.39.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $420.7 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.37.
The stock has a five-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 278 members out of 291 rating the stock outperform, and 13 members rating it underperform.
