AVX Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.22. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.21 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.08 for Q4 compared to $0.37 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 21.5%, 650 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -13.7%, 3,210 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -3.7%, 1,880 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $372.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.21.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.53 billion. The average EPS estimate is $0.93.
