CityVille Red Carpet Gala: Everything you need to know

A new limited time event has launched in CityVille, bringing with it a huge in-game party and the ability to invite your friends to be your guests. This Red Carpet Gala event is available to players that have reached at least Level 9 in the game, and it revolves around placing a new item in your town, appropriately named the Red Carpet Gala.

Once you place the Red Carpet Gala, you won't need to collect any building materials or staff to finish off its first stage, but will be able to upgrade it. However, unlike past buildings, this Red Carpet Gala can be upgraded by asking your friends for RSVPs. You can either purchase RSVPs with City Cash, or can ask your friends to send them to you. Each friend that responds will add a random guest to your guest list from a selection of 12 to start.

There are movie stars, reality stars and music stars available to invite to your party, with these guests also dropping from special themed buildings in each category. In order to figure out which kinds of buildings drop which RSVPs, simply click on the "build" button in the Red Carpet Gala menu, as seen below.

After you've collected RSVPs for the 12 guests listed above, you will have received your first Red Carpet Gala upgrade, along with the three prizes for that particular grouping: five energy, a cute hot tub decoration and three Zoning Permits. From there, you'll move on to another set of 12 guests that can be invited in the same way for new prizes: a DJ stage, 1,000 Goods, 2,000 coins and 10 energy. The ultimate prize, after another section of guests has been invited (the VIPs), is the Billionaire Yacht that you can place in the water outside your main city.

You'll have just 23 days to finish this event once it launches in your city, so you'll need to ask your friends for as much help as possible, and remember to collect from those special themed buildings in order to finish everything in time. Good luck!
