Silver Wheaton Increases Sales but Misses Estimates on Earnings

EPS came in at $0.41. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.42 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.41 for Q1 were 21% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.34 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 87.5%, 10 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 75.1%, 80 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 73.7%, 350 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $210.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.46.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $890.5 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.93.
