Hidden Chronicles Guardian Challenge: Everything you need to know

Arguably, the most difficult hidden object scenes in Zynga's Hidden Chronicles on Facebook are those that are only available during FastFind challenges between you and your friends. After all, you're only given 60 seconds to study and play them, and most of that time is spent frantically looking for objects and not memorizing the locations of any others. That all changes now, though, as the Guardian Challenge feature will allow you to play these FastFind scenes as often as you like to increase your own individual skill level at each.

As of right now, four of the FastFind scenes are available to play, but you must unlock that ability first by collecting items for each. Similar to building a new structure on your Estate, each individual Guardian Challenge scene must be unlocked by collecting items via either general news posts on your wall or individual requests sent to friends. Here's a complete rundown of what it takes to unlock each, so I hope you have plenty of friends in your game to help you out!

Tut's Tomb

  • 5 Monocles (general news post)

  • 5 Straw Fans (general news post)

  • 5 Cowboy Hats (individual request)

  • 5 Ushabtis (individual request)

  • 5 Palm Fronts (individual request)


Stage Coach

  • 5 Monocles (general news post)

  • 5 Straw Fans (general news post)

  • 5 Cowboy Hats (individual request)

  • 5 Cow Skulls (individual request)

  • 5 Corsets (individual request)


Living Room

  • 5 Monocles (general news post)

  • 5 Straw Fans (general news post)

  • 5 Butterflies (individual request)

  • 5 8 Balls (individual request)

  • 5 Oil Lamps (individual request)



St. Peter's Cathedral

  • 5 Monocles (general news post)

  • 5 Straw Fans (general news post)

  • 5 Faberge Eggs (individual request)

  • 5 Concertinas (individual request)

  • 5 Cavalry Saber (individual request)


As you can see, each of these requires Monocles and Straw Fans, so you'll need to keep posting those requests to your news feed as often as the game will let you in order to never run out of a backup supply. As for the other items, you'll need to space your daily allotment of gift requests out accordingly over a few days to earn each and every item. We'd suggest starting with the Cowboy Hat, as it's also required for more than one scene.

Unfortunately, this set doesn't include all of the FastFind hidden object scenes, but it's likely that those will be added in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime, feel free to finish unlocking all four of these scenes before even more work is thrown on your virtual plate.
