EPS came in at $0.49. The 13 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.49 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.48 for Q1 were 6.7% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.45 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 55.3%, 80 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 41.2%, 210 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 24.4%, 60 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $4.49 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.57.
