Does Pot Farm on Facebook teach folks how to grow their own? [Video]

Pot Farm: It's one of Facebook's most controversial games that everyone saw coming from a mile away. Developed by Vancouver-based (go figure) East Side Games, Pot Farm is essentially FarmVille for fans of the fire grass. But could the social game be used as a primer for those looking to grow their own? Well, that depends on who you ask.

Alabama news station WHNT 19 took to the streets and elsewhere to find out whether Pot Farm could be a marijuana maker's digital handbook. Sheffield, Alabama resident William Bullock seems to think so. "I would definitely, before you get into anything, go play this game and just get on what you should do," Bullock told WHNT 19.

But for the po-po, Pot Farm is nothing more than a game. When an WHNT 19 reporter showed the game to Sheffield police chief Greg Ray, he said, "this looks more like a Christmas tree than it does a marijuana plant. I guess you can say it's more of a comical thing."

Do you think it could be used as a tool to teach would-be pot farmers, and what legal issues would that bring up? Sound off in the comments. Add Comment.
