Xilinx Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.49. The 23 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.41 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.49 for Q4 were 17% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.59 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 66.4%, 110 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 29.1%, 280 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 24.0%, 320 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $555.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.44.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $2.35 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.99.
The stock has a three-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 326 members out of 370 rating the stock outperform, and 44 members rating it underperform.
