CityVille Color Arch: Everything you need to know

Updated

A large new community building has launched in CityVille that closely resembles the real world St. Louis Arch. It's called the Color Arch, and it's a long, narrow object that can now be built in stages in your city (similarly to the Rainbow back in the St. Patrick's Day event). You'll need to be at least Level 20 to build the Color Arch, but as you upgrade it, you'll be able to increase your maximum population allowance and increase your Downtown Value allowance all at once.

The Color Arch comes with six stages, each of which requires more and more building materials to unlock. As you go along, the maximum population and Downtown Value boosts increase and the Arch itself changes appearance to become more complex and closer to the final product. As one example, getting from Level 1 to Level 2 of the Color Arch requires just nine materials:

  • 5 White Bricks

  • 2 Red Lights

  • 2 Yellow Lights

These items are earned through general news posts or individual requests sent to your friends. You can also earn them at random when collecting profits from "Color Arch" buildings. These buildings can be found by hovering over different options in the store until you see "More Color Arch Items" appear in a bonus window that pops up when you do hover.

Once you reach Level 6, you'll receive 1 million coins as your final prize, giving you plenty of incentive to build this one to its final stage. Hopefully, the problems associated with the 1 million coin prize back in the St. Patrick's Day event have been worked out here, but either way, this is a lovely new item that has a draw all its own to earning a permanent spot in your city.

What do you think of the Color Arch in CityVille? Will you try to build it all of the way to Level 6? Did you ever receive your coins for finishing the Rainbow? Sound off in the comments.
