Juniper Networks (NYS: JNPR) reported earnings on Jan. 24. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.28. The 34 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.22 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.19 for Q4 were 5.6% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.18 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 64.3%, 220 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 12.5%, 50 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.4%, 20 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.07 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.20.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $4.60 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.11.
