NVR Meets on Revenues, Misses on EPS

EPS came in at $3.90. The 11 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $4.20 per share. GAAP EPS of $3.90 for Q1 were 55% higher than the prior-year quarter's $2.52 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 17.1%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 5.2%, 40 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.3%, 40 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
