Bubble Saga goes for a spin on Kindle Fire, coming soon to Android

Updated

Launched back in the Spring of 2011, King.com's Bubble Saga brought new life to the now incredibly cliched bubble-popping genre on Facebook by adding spinning environments to the general "pop all of the bubbles" strategy. Now a year later, the game has finally gone mobile, but you won't be able to pop bubbles on your favorite iOS device. Instead, the game is now available to download and play for free on Kindle Fire.

According to Inside Social Games, the Kindle Fire version of Bubble Saga is completely cross-platform, allowing players to carry over their top scores and items from Facebook and then back again when they've finished playing. It's rather unusual to see a game released on Kindle Fire, or really any other platform, before iPhone or iPad, but a launch of Bubble Saga on iOS is still unconfirmed as of this writing.

Smartphone gamers aren't being left entirely out in the cold though, as we do know that a separate Android version of the game is currently in development, set for release hopefully sometime in the not too distant future. For now, Apple loyalists will have to wait just a bit longer to take Bubble Saga wherever they go, but we'll make sure to let you know if an iOS version eventually launches.

Are you ready to play Bubble Saga on your Kindle Fire or Android device? Would you play the game if it eventually launches on iTunes? Sound off in the comments.
