CastleVille When Dukes Cry Quests: Everything you need to know

After the recent release of the Puppy Love quests in CastleVille, the game has completely gone to the dogs, as another quest series has launched in the game dealing with man's best friend. Apparently, one of Duke's dogs has gone missing, and if you're Level 18 or higher (and have also finished all of the quests in the Puppy Love series), you can now jump right in to help Duke find him. There are five quests in this series - here's a look at finishing them off!

The Lost Prince

  • Tend Duke's Butcher Shop

  • Collect 8 Meat

  • Have 5 Cow Hide


The Meat can be earned when tending Pigs, while the Cow Hides are earned by tending adult Cows. As for the Duke's Butcher shop, tending it must be one of the five tasks you complete when next visiting him kingdom with your daily free energy. For completing this first quest, you'll receive 2,000 coins and 40 XP.

Somewhere Here on Earth

  • Collect 3 Animal Bones

  • Have 6 Swamp Boots

  • Perform 5 Actions in Duke's Kingdom


Swamp Boots are earned via a general news post placed on your wall. When you complete this quest, you'll earn 2,500 coins and 50 XP.

Playtime's Over

  • Tend 5 Grass or Bushes

  • Get 20 Wool

  • Craft 1 Puppy Prize


The Puppy Prizes can be crafted in the Kitchen, Studio or Workshop, so pick the one that has the best ingredient requirements for you and make it a bit easier on yourself. As for the Wool, you'll earn this by tending adult sheep on your Kingdom. Complete this quest and you'll walk away with 2,500 coins and 50 XP.

Lost Dog

  • Craft 6 Parchment

  • Craft 3 Dye Kits

  • Visit 10 Neighbors


Both the Parchment and the Dye Kits are crated inside the Studio. When you finish this quest, you'll earn 3,250 coins and 65 XP.

Prince's Return

  • Visit Duke's Kingdom

  • Craft 2 Puppy Prizes


Again, it doesn't matter which prizes you craft, so try to pick some that have crafting ingredients that you already have on hand (or can easily earn by asking friends for help). For completing this final quest in the When Dukes Cry series, you'll receive an exclusive German Shepherd puppy. This puppy will go into the nature section of your inventory, so you'll need to pull it out manually to be able to interact with it. You'll also walk away with 2,000 coins and 40 XP.

While the original Puppy Love quests don't come with a time limit, these do, so make sure that you finish them off as soon as possible so as to not miss out on your chance at a free German Shepard puppy for your kingdom!
