CityVille Downtown Glass Factory: Everything you need to know

While there tends to be plenty of variety in the homes and decorations we can build in CityVille, what if you wish to spice things up with more than just matte paint jobs and finishes? What if you want something that screams of a bit more bling? Now, you can have just that with the Downtown Glass Factory which has started rolling around to users that have reached at least Level 20.

The Downtown Glass Factory, putting it simply, gives you a way to create new glass decorations and homes for your city. You'll receive the base of your Glass Factory - the Decoration Wing - via a new goal with an appropriate name: Winging It! You can only have one Glass Factory, as they are not available for purchase elsewhere, so keep that in mind. Once you've collected enough building materials to construct its base (asking friends via both general news posts and individual requests) you can get to work on building some glass items.

To be especially clear, the Downtown Glass Factory can be thought of as an item similar to that of the Airport, in that you'll build different wings in this overall larger structure, with each wing having a different purpose (just as each Terminal allows you to send different kinds of planes from the airport). For instance, the Decorations Wing of the Glass Factory allows you to build items like a Glass Clock Tower or a Glass Sculpture Park.

The latter item requires 36 different materials to construct, with these items being available for City Cash or by asking your friends to send them to you. You can also randomly find them when collecting from downtown businesses and homes. Either way, when you've finished the Glass Sculpture Park, you'll have a decoration with a 45% payout bonus and a downtown value of 1,500 Points. As you can see, this is a fairly worthwhile feature, as not only will you be able to craft some otherwise exclusive items, but you'll also gain some hefty city stats and boosts in the process.
