Pioneer Trail Twins Nursery: Everything you need to know

After giving birth to a set of twins, Hank and Fanny have had quite a bit of work placed in front of them in Pioneer Trail. After all, it's not easy raisin' "youngins," and even less so without modern day conveniences. Still, Hank has taken it upon himself to build a new Nursery and some toys for his new children, but he needs your help to get it done! This all comes by way of a new "Twins Nursery" feature in the game that introduces new crops and a new collection to the game.

To start, you'll need to help Hank build the Nursery, which is done in phases. These phases will be completed alongside a series of four goals, with each requiring you to ask your friends for building materials, either for the Nursery itself, or for the various items you'll need to craft. Here's a look at the goals you need to complete.

Make Room for Babies

  • Harvest 30 Sunflowers

  • Craft 1 Baby Proof Ram

  • Finish Phase One of the Nursery


The Baby Proof Ram is the first of the items you'll need to create, and it's made using Safety Padding and Horn Corks. The Horn Corks come from your friends, while the Safety Padding is another crafting project itself. You'll need Feather Padding (sell adult ducks or chickens) and Leather Straps (ask friends) to make those, so I hope you have an excess of either animal that can easily be sold! You'll receive 450 XP, a Granny's Gut Punch and two All You Can Eat meals for completing this first goal.

Work & Play

  • Harvest 30 Broccoli

  • Craft 2 Baby Proof Bulls

  • Finish Phase 2 of the Nursery (the Playroom)


The Baby Proof Bulls are created using more Safety Padding and Large Horn Corks, which are also earned by asking your friends to send them to you. You'll receive 950 XP, a Quick Draw Quaff and a lovely Decorative Dollhouse for completing this second quest.

Grounds for Fun

  • Tend 12 Baby Proof Rams

  • Collect 30 Cool Lemonade

  • Finish Phase 3 of the Nursery (the Playground)


The Cool Lemonade will drop at random when harvesting Lemon Trees, so you'll want to have as many fully grown trees on hand as possible to finish this quest quicker. When you do so, you'll earn 1,400 XP, a Green Lightning and the Playground itself.

Play it Safe

  • Harvest 40 Cherry Tomatoes

  • Collect 20 Safety Ties

  • Craft 20 Baby Proof Animals


For this final goal, you'll need to ask your friends to send you Cherry Tomatoes which are found on the game's free gifts page. You can also purchase some for 4 Horseshoes each, if real world money is no object to you. Either way, the Baby Proof Animals can be either Rams or Bulls, depending on which you like more or which (you feel) are simply easier to craft. For completing this final goal, you'll earn 2,200 XP, 2,400 coins and two Spring Riders. These are toys that you might recognize from your own time as a child on the playground, and they can be mounted by your avatars for a bit of juvenile fun.

Along the way, you'll be able to complete the Nursery Collection from your new building, and will receive a free Stuffed Bear as a prize when turning a complete Nursery Collection in. Good luck!
