House of the Day: Maryland's Woodland Contemporary

Updated

You already know how much we love our edgy, cubic homes and this is one of the best we've seen yet. Though it's floor-to-ceiling windows and sharp, clean lines can trick you into thinking it's another Malibu contemporary, this 10,000-square-foot stunner is actually located in the leafy community of Bethesda, Md.

And we're talking leafy. In fact, the $6.9 million home is built in the woods, flanked on every side by mature trees and views of the Potomac River. But don't go thinking "country cottage amenities." No, this home boasts every luxury feature that any self-respecting Malibu McMansion would have, and then some: an elevator, infinity pool, heated floors, a five-car garage and (get this) glass bridges linking each wing. And that incredible, colorful facade -- what more could you expect from a Robert Gurney-designed home?

The house features four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
