CastleVille Eggstraordinary Egg Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

If you thought Martha Stewart's kingdom would be the only mention of Easter in CastleVille, think again, as a new 10-part quest series has launched in the game surrounding a massive egg that appears in your Kingdom. Of course Duke, being obsessed with food, wants to turn the egg into food, but your Kingdom's other inhabitants aren't exactly sure this egg came from a chicken... Here's a complete guide to finishing these quests, just in time for Easter.

Chicken or the Egg?

  • Chop Trees 5 Times

  • Mine 3 ocks

  • Place the Egg Stand

The Egg Stand is given to you for free, so place it in your inventory and finish this quest off fast. You'll receive 1,000 coins and 20 XP for doing so.

Egging Him On

  • Craft 3 Grape Juice

  • Tend 10 Animals

  • Have 3 Science Periodicals

The Science Periodicals are earned by posting a general news item for your friends to respond to. You'll earn a Super Clobber for completing this quest, along with 1,500 coins and 30 XP.

The Unicorn Egg

  • Fish 3 Times in Neighbors' Kingdoms

  • Tend 15 Flowers

  • Make 3 Ice Cream

Apparently, the egg doesn't come from a chicken, but from a Unicorn, so you'll need to work to protect it while we wait for it to hatch. Ice Creams are crafted in the Kitchen using five Ice Chunks, five Milk Bottles and two Honey each. For completing this quest, you'll receive 1,000 coins and another 20 XP.

Nest of the Unicorn

  • Feed 20 Animals

  • Harvest 10 Wheat

  • Build the Unicorn Nest

The Unicorn Nest requires three Marshmallows (earned via a general news item), 12 Sugar, two Sweet Buns and eight Cotton. For completing this quest, you'll receive 1,750 coins, 35 XP and a Small Energy Potion.

To Hatch a Unicorn

  • Collect 10 Pails of Water

  • Have 12 Berries

  • Craft 1 Glue

Rewards: 1,000 coins and 20 XP

Hear Me Roar

  • Collect from 15 Houses

  • Clear 10 Nature Items

  • Feed 15 Sheep

Rewards: 1,500 coins and 30 XP

Zen and the Art of Nest Design

  • Build a Griffin Nest

  • Have 4 Design Plans

  • Have 5 Cow Hide

The Cow Hide are earned by collecting from adult cows (they only drop randomly). The Design Plans, meanwhile, are earned via a general news post on your wall. Finally, the Griffin Nest is built using two Dye Kits, eight Clay, 10 Wool and three Alchemist's Powders. For completing this quest, you'll earn 1,750 coins, 35 XP and a Hyper Craft.

Holy Smokes!

  • Have 3 Wood Clubs

  • Craft Fireproof Boxers

  • Place 10 Bushes

By this point, the egg will have gone from a Unicorn to a Griffin to a Dragon, so now we must (supposedly) prepare for the worst! When you complete these three tasks, you'll earn 1,000 coins and 20 XP.

Draggin' Your Feet

  • Have 10 Dragon Scales

  • Have 3 Milk Bottles

  • Build a Dragon Nest

The Dragon Scales are earned through yet another general news item on your wall. To build the Dragon Nest, you'll need two Diamonds, five Stone Blocks, 20 Coal and three Hard Boiled Eggs. You'll earn 1,750 coins and 35 XP for finishing this quest.

Better Beastie Banishment

  • Activate the Dragon Summoner

  • Summon a Beastie

  • Use the Dragon

As we now know that this egg belonged to a Dragon, we can use its power to defeat Beasties. You'll need to use a Beastie Potion to lure one out on your Kingdom (any kind will do), and then click on the Dragon's nest in order to have the Dragon automatically banish the Beastie for you. You'll need to click specifically on the Beastie you'd like the Dragon to banish, so don't panic if she doesn't move automatically. When you complete this final quest, you'll receive 1,750 coins and 35 XP.

Ok, so these quests didn't stay about Easter for very long (essentially as soon as we realized the Egg wasn't that of a Chicken), but it's a fun themed set that will offer you a very functional, very appreciated way to deal with the many Beasties that can appear in our Kingdoms on a daily basis. There doesn't appear to be a time limit for how long you have to complete these quests, so take your time with them and you'll do just fine!
