CityVille Lava Rock Island: Everything you need to know
The fifth island in CityVille's massive island feature has now been revealed to be one called Lava Rock Island. This one is given to you for free, so long as you're at least Level 47 in the game before you attempt to place it. As a note, if you want additional Lava Rock Islands, you can purchase them from the store for 471,500 coins. You'll also, of course, need to place this island into a water expansion in your town, so plan ahead for exactly where you'd like to put it.
Once you've placed the Lava Rock Island, you'll need to collect building materials to finish it off:
10 Island Maps
10 Palm Trees
10 Helicopter Headphones
10 Kettle Grills
10 Roof Thatches
You can earn these items via a combination of general news items on your wall and individual requests sent to neighbors. Once it's done, your Lava Rock Island will come complete with a variety of different buildings. The Geological Survey community building allows for 2,500 citizens to live in your town, while the Volcano Tours business requires 395 Goods to operate, but returns 2,045 coins on the other side. Finally, there are three homes worth 2,000, 180 and 1,750 citizens each and the Energy Volcano itself that pays out four energy for every 200 Goods you supply it with, once every 12 hours.
With this fifth island, your CityVille waters should be booming with activity, but I doubt this is the last we'll see of the island feature in the game just yet. We'll make sure to let you know if additional islands launch in the game, so keep checking back with us!
