Silver Wheaton Increases Sales but Misses Revenue Estimate

Silver Wheaton (NYS: SLW) reported earnings on yesterday. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.41. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.41 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.41 for Q4 were 17% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.35 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 87.3%, 250 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 75.1%, 540 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 75.4%, 680 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $216.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.54.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.02 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.32.
