Panem is quite literally yours to explore today on Facebook. Developer Funtactix and Lionsgate Films look to launch The Hunger Games Adventures on the social network later today, and promise something fans won't see anywhere else. This branded social game is the exclusive home to the first-ever map of Panem, so there's one reason to give it the old college try.

Now, you can see just how The Capitol oversees all 12 districts and where they are in relation to one another, something that's never been visually explained before to The Hunger Games fans. The Hunger Games Adventures throws players into District 12 not as Katniss, Peeta or Gale, but a character of their own design. Players will interact with the series' protagonists as they complete missions and do battle with other Hunger Games contestants, or Tributes.

Of course, Funtactix looks to launch the game in concert with the film adaptation of author Suzanne Collins's wildly successful novel series. So while the game is not live just yet, stay tuned and check out the first-ever images of the game (plus The Huffington Post's exclusive preview). And why not try out The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire on your iOS device while you wait?
