House of the Day: Malibu's Million-Dollar View

Updated

It's been a while since we've visited Malibu (the disproportionately large number of multi-million dollar homes in this small corner of America is almost unfair to the rest of the country) but here's a home that's dragged us, voluntarily, back to the West Coast.

First, there's that pool. You already know we're a sucker for a pool with a waterfront view. Then, there's that sexy, almost severe geometric architecture. You know we're a sucker for that, too. There's the sleek, glistening modern decor. So, bachelor-style isn't really our thing, but we can overlook that because you get anincredible sprawling balcony with the type of million-dollar, blindingly-blue view you can only enjoy in Malibu.

$13.5 million dollars, to be exact. But if you're sitting on that kind of bankroll, we'd say these digs are worth it. At 5,500 square feet, with four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a movie theater and an outdoor-entertaining area decked out with plush lounges, a fire pit and a sound system, it's a winner -- and so, so California. But we're not complaining.
