Tudou was last week's biggest winner, more than doubling as China's leading video-streaming website Youku (NYS: YOKU) announced it would be acquiring its rival at a 159% premium in an all-stock deal.

Frontline coasted higher after the oil tanker's CEO made some positive comments about the industry's demand.

Guidewire posted better-than-expected quarterly results. The provider of software solutions for property and casualty insurers went public back in January, making this Guidewire's first financial glimpse as a public company.

Investors continue to feel upbeat about Amarin's potentially promising triglyceride-battling drug. AMR101 is currently under FDA review.

Perfect World popped after the online gaming company posted blowout quarterly results and issued a one-time dividend of $2 a share.
