Inteliquent Increases Sales but Misses Estimates on Earnings
Inteliquent (NAS: IQNT) reported earnings on March 14. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Inteliquent beat slightly on revenue and missed estimates on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue expanded and GAAP earnings per share grew.
Margins dropped across the board.
Inteliquent reported revenue of $69.5 million. The eight analysts polled by S&P Capital IQ predicted net sales of $68.6 million on the same basis. GAAP reported sales were 8.9% higher than the prior-year quarter's $63.8 million.

EPS came in at $0.19. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.24 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.19 for Q4 were 5.6% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.18 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 41.8%, 290 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 18.4%, 650 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.6%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $70.2 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.22.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $287.9 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.94.
The stock has a five-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS. Among 250 CAPS All-Star picks (recommendations by the highest-ranked CAPS members), 247 give Inteliquent a green thumbs-up, and three give it a red thumbs-down.
