The Daily offers 'the ultimate guide to Angry Birds Space' on iPhone, iPad

Want all the deets on Angry Birds Space before it lands on March 22? Then you'll need a few things: an iPhone or iPad, an Internet connection and the ability to read. (If you lack the latter, then we have another problem entirely.) The Daily and Rovio announced The Daily's Angry Birds Space Guide for iPhone and iPad, a free app available now.

The Daily and the Finnish game maker have collaborated in hopes to bring the only guide you'll ever need to the upcoming galactic Angry Birds game. (An Android version of the guide is slated for March 21.) The guide features detailed descriptions of everything in the Angry Birds Space universe from new birds to no-so-new pigs.

Of course, there's more, like numerous behind-the-scenes stories courtesy of The Daily's staff, videos of Rovio's lead artist drawing up the various characters of Angry Birds Space and giving The Daily a how-to. The free app also packs educational information about outer space and space tourism, an underlying goal of the game.

"None of us really knew what we were getting into when we traveled 4,000 miles and seven time zones to do this story," The Daily deputy technology editor Daniel Dumas said in a release. "But after fighting jet lag, subzero temperatures, and some fierce deadlines I think we've created something wholly unique."
