If your friends ever try to say that the iPad you tote around is pointless, show them this. Friskies Cat Food showed BuzzFeed You vs. Cat, the first-ever cross-species iPad game for you and little Shnookems. Revealed at this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive in Austin, Texas, You vs. Cat sounds like one-way air hockey. And the cats are winning.

In You vs. Cat, humans attempt to flick various on-screen objects past the cat, which acts as a goalie of sorts, pouncing the objects to deflect them. Buddy, Friskies' cat that has helped demo the game at SXSW, remains undefeated, according to BuzzFeed. And since You vs. Cat features a worldwide leaderboard of cats versus humans, it's clear that kitties make for pretty decent gamers: They're winning 2,091 to 1,250.

Friskies has created iPad games for felines before, but this is the first game that fosters inter-species play. And BuzzFeed reports that Friskies expects You vs. Cat to be a healthy way of enriching your cat's mind. (Think of it as Brain Age for Fluffy, we guess.) Based on this feline's Fruit Ninja frenzy, expect to get served by your Siamese--just remember the screen protector. Unfortunately, there's no word on a release date just yet.
