Veteran games publisher EA is on a tear in the social and mobile game spaces, and it shows no signs of stopping. During an event at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, EA revealed an iPhone and iPad version of Zuma's Revenge, the hit ball-bursting game on PC, Mac and now DS. (Of course, let's not forget about Facebook's Zuma Blitz.)

According to TouchArcade, the iOS version of the hit casual game will pack 60 adventure levels and 70 challenge stages, as well as the expected power-ups and bonuses featured in the original. While no mention of a Blitz-like component was made, we'd be surprised if PopCap didn't include it eventually given that Bejeweled Blitz is present and accounted for on iPhone.

EA also unveiled World Series of Poker (WSOP) for iPhone and iPad, revealing that the publisher has scored the rights to the WSOP name. The game looks like the stable of poker games already available on smartphones and Facebook, though there's not much room to innovate in the poker games world to begin with. WSOP for iOS will be free to play, but will offer virtual items up for sale.

While there's little room to differentiate in this sub genre, EA managed to squeeze Omaha style poker in addition to the now-standard Texas Hold 'Em into WSOP. The game is 100 percent online, meaning every opponent in-game will be a real player on the other side. EA also threw in online tournaments and a career mode, and TouchArcade expects the game to release soon. To check out the other games in EA's iOS lineup, check out the full story here.
